Maybe all we know about video file that using MPEG-4 Part 2, MPEG-4 Part 10, audio stream or File Extension AMR and 3gp format. 3gp itself means 3rd Generation Partnership Project.
What is the usefulness of this 3gp file? 3gp file is the simple form of MPEG-4 Part 14 (MP4), it is created to compress or reduces cell phone disk space usage and bandwidth. Video file with MPEG-4 Part 2 or H.263 or MPEG-4 Part 10 (AVC/H.264), and audio stream or File Extension AMR as AMR-NB, AMR-WB, AMR-WB+, AAC-LC or HE-AAC could be converted to be 3gp with using converter application.
3gp has 2 standard default formats, those are:
1. 3GPP (for GSM-based phones, the file extension is .3gp)
2. 3GPP2 (for CDMA-based phones, it has .3g2 extension file).

2. Few of new cell phones generation without 3G support also can turn on and record a moment in this file format.
Above, I have said about AMR…what is AMR? File Extension AMR is compressed audio format developed by Ericsson; this file extension is used by many 3G cell phones for voice recordings such as MMS messages.
